A Time of True Contrasts

This time has been a true time of contrasts for me.  Spring is my favorite time of year, new growth, rebirth, sunshine, and birds singing.  Looking forward to how our city and neighborhood come alive with activities during the summer months.  Along with that has been the nostalgia of my husband’s 40th college reunion at Wash U. and our upcoming 40th wedding anniversary, looking back at my 40+ years in this neighborhood and Andy’s 60+ years here.

So much has changed in the neighborhood – more students, more development, increased values, and with that increased costs.  Yet so much has remained consistent – good neighbors, committed volunteers, and a gorgeous place to live right by everything that we need – the Delmar Loop, Forest Park, and access to downtown in minutes.

I am so excited to invite our friends to come to the Breakfast Garden Tour in June (I have always thought that this is a great event for real estate agents to check out who we are), the Delmar Blooming artist exhibit and mural project, and of course the Porchfest in the fall.  These are all great opportunities to demonstrate that the city is the place to be.  I look forward to seeing our friends out and about and sometimes we can reminisce about what it has been like to live here through the years.  Cheers to spring and summer!
